Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan: Mac the Moose

Ok, this blog has officially been rededicated to a tribute to the world’s largest things.

Canada Saskatchewan continues to overcompensate for some weird, national inferiority complex with Mac, a 10-ton, 32-foot tall moose. The last bit of irony concerning Mac is that he is located near the highway in Moose Jaw (har har).

Avoid looking at its chin (Mac is very self-conscious about the loose skin)              Credit:

The fiberglass moose, completed in May of 1984, has a history of vandalism, including one incident when Mac was painted blue. After it was physically damaged, Mac was moved to its current location next to the Trans-Canada highway and fenced off.
